SAG Award Nominations Announced

Buckle up, people. Awards season is now in full force. With The Critics Choice Movie Award nominations yesterday, and the Golden Globes announcement tomorrow, this ain’t no joke.

This morning, The Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) nominations  were announced, and it looks like The Help was given the most nominations with four, including Best Ensemble Cast (the big award at the SAGs), Best Actress for Viola Davis,  and Best Supporing Actress nods for both Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer.

The Artist received three nods, including Best Ensemble Cast, while  Bridesmaids and The Descendants earned two a piece. Other nominees include Midnight In Paris, J. Edgar, Moneyball, The Iron Lady, My Week With Marilyn, Beginnersand We Need To Talk About Kevin.

Meanwhile Hugo, War Horse, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, my beloved Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2,, and my favorite, most confusing movie ever made The Tree Of Life, all received the cold, hard snub. Apparently the actors got no love for dinosaurs, horses, or wizards. What gives?
